HNK Appliqué Paper by Hugs ’n Kisses
The HNK Appliqué Paper by Hugs 'n Kisses is a versatile appliqué paper for quilters and patchwork enthusiasts. Ideal for gluestick appliqué, needleturn appliqué, foundation paper piecing (FPP), English paper piecing (EPP), and as a stabiliser for art quilting.
The pack contains 2 sheets (22 x 28 cm).
This unique appliqué paper is made from a blend of 50% water-soluble and 50% non-soluble fibres. During washing, the soluble fibres partially dissolve, leaving soft fibres within the appliqué. The paper does not need to be removed and can remain in your quilt or sewing project as temporary stabilisation.
Instructions:
• Trace the appliqué pattern onto the Appliqué Paper
• Carefully cut out the shape
• Fuse the shape to the wrong side of the fabric
• Cut out the fabric shape, leaving a seam allowance
• Glue the fabric edges over the paper using a Sewline glue pen. For very small shapes, the Apliquick rods can be used for extra precision (optional)
• Appliqué the piece by hand or machine onto the background fabric
• Leave the paper in place and wash if desired for a softer result
