Developed with wool appliqué in mind, Ellana™ is a 50/50 blend of merino wool and acrylic. The wool provides a rich colour palette and soft loft, while the acrylic adds extra strength to the thread. Thanks to its perfect twist, the thread gently wraps around the edge of wool appliqué, almost melting into the wool itself.
The result is an almost invisible whipstitch, creating a smooth and clean edge that is ideal for further decoration. Ellana™ is highly resistant to fraying and produces very little fuzz, ensuring an exceptionally smooth stitching experience. Its soft loft also makes this thread well suited for adding delicate details in hand embroidery.
Available in 60 original Sue Spargo colours on convenient 64-metre spools. These colours coordinate perfectly with Sue Spargo’s Efina™ cotton threads and her wool fabric collections, making it easy to match and combine materials within a project.
